Added Slaterson360 to this list this morning.

This d-bag was sent a box and never returned the favor. More than enough time has passed and he just never retured to BA.

Fun Fact: Slaterson360 is also on the reddit ban list under the same name.

I always find it rather shocking that people trade beer via reddit. I guess it doesn't matter a whole lot, but at least on a site like BA or RB people are showing a higher level of interest in beer, which has to count for something. Plus the demographic on reddit is skewed so young that I'd be much more concerned about shipping to underage...

I couldn't agree more but I still think it's important to add all the information (I legally can) to the list.

So if anyone has extra information on this bad trader or anyone on the list for that matter. Whether it's a different account or an account on other websites, it all can be useful information.

I'm afraid I have another name to add to this list. appears to have screwed the TMTOBA 6 Winner out of a box. I've followed up (several times) and given him the benefit of the doubt for several weeks now.

All he had to do was send 36 measely ounces of good beer. Really disappointed.

    OldP0rt - I'll be in touch.

Subreddits... There is one for beer, one for beerporn, one for beer trading, a more active homebrew community than either here or RB. And while Reddit has started to trend younger, the average age used to be 30ish. Looking for and subscribing to a subreddit takes just as much effort as signing up for an account on BA or RB.

I do a substantial amount of my trading through r/beertrade and you will find a lot of the same people there as here. The nice thing is that ridiculous trades get downvoted and hidden once they hit -5. Keeps the riffraff out without having to threadshit, though threadshitting is allowed.

Well yes, but Reddit uses fact algorithms to discount multiple votes from the same IP address and other users can upvote and cancel out downvotes.

Just to add my .02 here, which I fully realize no one has asked for... every time oldp0rt posts one of these additions there has to be someone who wants to argue the merits of why said person was added to the list. Olp0rt even posted a poll at one point to ask if he should continue to post the updates or just do them on his own, to which the overwhelming amount of responders voted that he should continue posting them. I'm not saying everyone is not entiitled to their own opinions or voicing them, as that is what a forum like BA is for, but can we collectively stop breaking olp0rt's balls? He is providing a needed service that he volunteered for when the last keeper of the list stepped down for lack of a better term. The bottom line is that if you are even the slightest bit flaky in any aspect of your trade, most BAs will not want to deal with you and you are, in some way, a bad trader. If you feel the person who has been added has been given a bad break, contact them and set up a trade. Just dont come back to complain when they f you over as well.

"hey guise, what if he kept someone's beer without sending a thing, but he's not really a bad trader?"

Amazing, you have a guy like oldp0rt doing all of us traders a service due to his own good will and people still can't stop complaining!

oldp0rt - Thanks for doing this, much appreciated!

Reddit gets played like a fiddle by professional marketing agencies. Obviously they're not on beer trade subreddits, but my point is Reddit does a pretty pisspoor job of preventing shenanigans, and anybody can game the site easily.

I've been on Reddit since more or less day one, and have a very love/hate relationship with the site. In the last couple of years I just feel it has turned into the lowest common denominator of the Internet, which makes it a place I'd be very cautious of trading on. In short, RB/BA = generally high quality users with a bit of riff-raff, Reddit = equal amounts of riff-raff and quality.

Anyway, to each their own, and I'm sure it works fine if you're careful.

It depends on where you go. The smaller and more obscure the subreddit, the less riff-raff. Dunno how big beertrade is, but I see far fewer ISOs per day there than here.
