Bad Trader: TeeJep

    @TeeJep and I agreed on trading a BT on my end and 3 different TG hops on his. He sent his package via USPS with a broken link. Against my better judgement, I sent mine. Mysteriously, as soon as I sent mine, the package got delayed and is now supposedly stuck some place in IA. I contacted him once he said he called and asked about it whereabouts last week. I tried contacting him again and have been ignored. He's offered no resolution to this problem. He got the beer I sent him as confirmed by the tracking number and didn't even acknowledge he got it.

    He agreed to ship first. He shipped supposedly and then I shipped without getting the box. It's half on me because it was his second trade, but he did get the beer I agreed to send this was back on 5/18

    1. The whole tracking number is there. It is not hard to type that in and see for yourself.

    2. The estimated time of arrival was on Thursday, May 26. As they do not deliver on Sundays and holidays, it has been a whole 2 days since he was supposed to get his beer.

    3. He gave me a time span of a mere 12 hours to respond before he decided to leave his negative feedback and report me. Starting at 9:30 pm last night to 9:15 am this morning, he went from asking to have this resolved to reporting me.

    4. Even though he is being unrealistic and very impatient, I am still working hard on my end to figure out why the package has been delayed.

    You should be able to add mods to your conversation if you haven't deleted it.

    USPS tracking is terrible imo (especially in comparison to Fedex/UPS). It never seems to update with good interim info. With the holiday weekend I would have the OP wait at least a couple days this week & see if it shows.

    ETA: @TeeJep unless you have a specific reason to use USPS I'd recommend using Fedex/UPS for shipping going forward. Much more dependable than the USPS. I use Fedex and have no complaints (knock on wood).

    Package hasn't moved from Des Moins Iowa in 10 days... Which was SHIPPED VIA USPS BTW. He said he called once and that's it. Never offered me a solution of how to resolve it. And was ignored which he was involved in active discussions. The only time he responded was when I told him I reported him and put his name on the bad trader board

    Not sure what options I had other than to report him. He did nothing to realize this and like I said, the only reason I got a response was because I reported him and left him negative feedback

    It's been 2 weeks. He's been completely nonchalant on the matter. The negative feedback is staying. If he had read the "trading for newbies" thread, this wouldn't be a problem.

    Thank you, I am definitely not using USPS again. Even though I disagree with what he is saying about me, I think we can both agree that USPS is terrible.

    I called a couple times before the holiday weekend, and again this morning. I think he is being a bit impatient on this matter. I understand that the package hasn't moved in awhile, and I am doing my best to figure out what's going on.

    This was reported way to soon.

    USPS tracking is notoriously bad... and dealing with the bureaucracy with USPS is mind-numbingly tedious and frequently ends up with no resolution.

    It also seems to me it "should" also be pretty easy for TeeJep to simply replace the TG beers and ship again via FedEx or UPS.

    Thank you. I've learned my lesson with USPS. I'm more than willing to resolve the issue after an appropriate amount of time has passed. I think that if he still hasn't received his package by the end of the week, then we can talk about resolving.

    I have all three beers still unopened. If your package does not arrive by the end of the week, we can discuss other options, one of them being you get your beers back.

    This looks like another one of those cases where better communication could've headed this off before it turned bad. New trader making a mistake (USPS) and then not responding when there was a problem looks to be why this thread was made.

    Looks like he shipped and something is amiss with USPS (not shocking). If that turns out to be the case, this isn't a bad trader. It looks like a new trader who might need some guidance on what to do.

    I've never had to report someone and never had a problem with someone shipping to me. Never waited more than and week and certainly never had someone ignore me when there was a problem
