Bad Trader: TeeJep

Sounds like there could have been some more assurance from TeeJep that he would make things right. With that being said, The package is only one business day late, so yes too soon.... especially with their terrible tracking, very well could deliver today.

 

I responded to all of your messages before the holiday weekend.

The first message since then was sent last night around 9:30 pm CST. Two more were sent, with the last one being at 9:15 am this morning (CST). Expecting a response within a 12-hour time frame is not a very realistic expectation. I hardly think that qualifies as "ignoring you."

 

I suppose I should have given him more reassurance, as I had no idea he was this worried about it until now.

If this is referring to my activity last night, I can assure you that I was not ignoring you. While I figured I wouldn't be able to get a hold of USPS last night, I was doing research on how to get this package moving along. The only conversation I was "actively engaged" in was yours, and I wasn't going to respond until today as I wanted to have more information readily available.

 

did you guys exchange phone numbers? expecting someone to be on this site every few hours is asking a lot

 

What's with all the USPS hate? Yes, their online tracking isn't wonderful, however I have shipped USPS flat rate more times than I can count and have NEVER had a break or a late arrival. And 2 days...you can't beat that.

Hope this situation works out, glad to see the guy called out on here making his case.

No but seriously, I think the gun has definitely been jumped in this situation. I would give it more time as others have stated and I'm willing to bet it will show up this week.

It is my experience with USPS that if something is sitting there for 10 days and not moving there is a problem most likely breakage/leakage. If it is there for more than a week, chances are it isn't getting there.

 

Honestly, this was way too soon. I can agree that the communication seems to have been lacking and slow, but it was shipped on the 21st and USPS updates horribly. That's a week and a half and there's 2 Sundays and a holiday in there. I'd assume they screwed something up on their end, missed a scan, or completely misplaced it and it's still sitting waiting to be scanned and moving again. Also, sending messages later at night should expect a delay in responses. Many times I'm in bed by 10pm, but I'm on the east coast and up early so I usually reply early in the morning. It doesn't seem like @TeeJep was avoiding because they're probably the quickest person I've seen reply on a bad trader thread in quite some time.

 

I won't be using USPS ever again.

 

I hope this post can be a learning experience for newer traders. A lot of lessons in here.

 

I think it also illuminates how quickly people choose to pile on the OP in some of these threads. It's easier for a veteran or 3rd party to sit back and criticize, meanwhile someone is worried they are out beer. Quick to start the thread, sure, but offer advice to newer folks rather than criticizing.

 

There were several posts criticizing USPS updates. I don't find that to be true. There can be a good in updates when the box is travelling across country but by the end of the day they let you know that it left point a or arrived at point b.
I can get up to 16 cans in a large flat rate box and get it cross country in 2 or 3 days for 18 bucks. Can't beat it.
The only times I've had a problem were due to my packing.
