    Bit of an update. TomFoolery_x did finally get back to me and said that, though his name will likely end up on the bad trader list, he'll still send a box my way. This of course means nothing until a box of beer is on my porch, but is, at the very least, a start.

    This is not cut & dried. People generally define "Bad Traders" as thieves. People who back out of trades after you've bought beer for them are generally considered worthless low-lifes, & I'd do exactly what you did: put them on my personal You're A Jackass list.

    Calling someone out for not completing a trade, even if the circumstances (& other trader) suck, would bring a whole new level of drama to the forum. Not sure that's a good idea, but it probably warrants its own thread if people feel strongly one way or another.
