Bad Trader

DO NOT give the friend any beer before being paid, in full, money clearing however he decides to pay you for the beers. There are many people that will pay you, in full, for those beers. I would really hate to see you screwed twice by this guy.

If he has a buddy in PDX and was in Portland himself, why is he reaching out to somebody on the internet to pick up $400 of beer for him?

...and then rubbing it in, that he WAS going to share V013, SNR 2010, and/or GM

He may not be a bad trader, but he's a dick/idiot, for sure.

If you're listening, what you should have done, was said "Hey, sorry I couldn't meet up or text you. I will send you cash for the beer + cash for shippers + cash for your time that I have wasted/going to waste to go get shippers and pack stuff up and then drop it off + shipping labels for the shippers + a box of beer for the trouble (including one of the nice bottles I mentioned I was going to share with you)" *instead of the hemming and hawing and saying shit like "I'm not really in any hurry to get the beers in my possession, per se, so the specifics of that are really the least of my concerns, right now." WTF!?

And if you can't do that, you shouldn't be doing gopickitupformebros with people you don't know.

It's pretty easy to sherlock it if you check out adam from the wood 2014 threads and look for CA people asking for a pickitupformebro. One person even mentions he will be there for that specific weekend.

 

I agree, if you create the thread not only are thoughts given but also for the greater community we shouldbe made aware of who to be weary of when trading. My only thinking could be that the OP

1. doesn't want this to escalate anymore than it has,
2. and theres a good chance the guy he did this for has already been dealt with.
3. the number of good BA's out there that are willing to help him alleviate the burden of so damn much good beer!
4. But I bet if you BM the OP he'll tell ya

 

If the unnamed trader in question was a stand up guy he would immediately PayPal you the money for the beer, cover all costs for shipping it to him and send you some beer for all of the aggravation he caused you.
