    He bailed on an in-person trade, basically holding up the "You should no longer associate with me" banner, and made a half-hearted gesture of offering up beer for nothing, and then you kept contacting him with "WHERE'S THE MONEY LEBOWSKI!?"

    He probably wanted to fool around, and you went straight for the DP. Should probably just count your minimal losses as a lesson learned, and leave the guy alone.
