So you have some actual proof that I looked at the thread or you just saw that I was online?
Wait I'll answer, no proof can exsist because I never saw the thread until 10 minutes before I replied. I had 3 notifications of being tagged the next time I came on and that was the 1st I saw of it.

    doesn't matter.

you were tagged in the OP's post (6.35 PM) and this one at 6.43 PM)

there's need to go into the forums to see a tag. even in the forums, they show up at the top of the page.

Please do. Also, isn't posting personal information against the forum rules? Aren't you supposed to be moderating rules, not getting involved in misplaced (inproper forums) one sided stories?
I mean this is a beer trading talk forum right? Others came in and realized this wasn't even thread worthy as it isn't a trade and or had nothing to do with beer advocate.

Curious, What was the agreement? Were you picking up the beers for @Mitchell57 and he was paying you? Was he paying extra for the trouble or adding a beer? this can help clear things up. Glad to hear your side of the story.

He asked me on a Facebook website to pick him up a big hugs and he would pay me cash. Another fellow in the same area also asked me to do the same. I made plans with both for around noon on the 27th. Then the day before Mitchell told me he had to work and noon wouldn't work for him. Both were to pay me cash, no extras or anything was asked for or agreed upon. I did in fact drop off the beers to the other fellow who didn't cancel on the original date. Also, I get the impression that Mitchell was gonna attempt to trade with me even though it was agreed that he would give me cash.

Also I'm going by memory in the original date so it may have been the 26th but regardless this was the timeline. I set it up to drop off with both guys around the same time on the same day. Mitchell either found out or fogot he had to work and couldn't make it. The guy who didn't cancel the original plans got his Hugs

Don't tell us how to Mod. This was never us vs you, you are choosing to defer your anger towards a mod, drop it. Enjoy a time out.

I have no recollection of saying I had to work on the 27th of Dec, I don't work weekends and do not think I said that. If you have conversation logs of that feel free to share. I know you were in my area, it got late as you had plans with friends, and we were going to meet another time.

I apologize if I didn't respond as quickly as you wanted me to have...but it was new years and it was on Facebook. I'll concede it all could have been handled better and ahead of time, but you had my phone number and I didn't have yours or a better way to reach you. All else I can add is that I would have appreciated being told it was off, or if complications arose, not deletions, and never calling or messaging me.

I was to pay him for beer(s). I was happy to include beers from out of distro and did obtain beers to give him as extras. This wasn't required, but I wanted to and was going to. I did not pay in advance, as others have said we are not out of beer, money, etc. Some said this isn't worth a thread, and others were appreciative...that will be the case with every thread on BA before this and after this.

I tell ya what, Mitchell just made my list of people not to trade/deal with. Too many important things in life that come up to be dealing with petty people. Ha. Entertaining read though.

I actually dont fault you for getting fed up if indeed you made an honest effort to contact him and he was unreachable. However, its a real beta move to ignore him and block all forms of communication instead of simply telling him the deals off. Are you that afraid of a little confrontation?

Not sure I follow your logic. A proxy setup was agreed upon and then he was ignored/blocked. I think he has a right to wonder what happend.

He should get an explanation but not getting an explanation should not warrant him to post someone else's personal info on a bad trader thread. I find that very off putting so me personally, I would not want to deal with someone who would take it there. Life is busy, it was around the holidays, this guy obviously was busy with family stuff. Who knows how this kid responded when he didn't get what he wanted. I don't personally have time for that so I would avoid getting in that situation all together. Let's all just take a deep breath and remember, it is just beer! Amazing, delicious hand crafted beer!

Lets not go there, he already admitted he blew him off / blocked him because mitchell was hard to get a hold of.

I think we can agree this thread was unnecessary.my guess is both these guys are great BAs and great traders but now it is a 50/50 situation where you are going to pick a side and the other guy looks bad.
If I put a bad trader forum up for every trade that fizzled out or guys backed out on I'd have no time to negotiate trades. See the 3 guys who agreed upon and then backed out of trading vanilla ryes. They got better offers or just changed there mind. It is what it is.
maybe I should start a lif for people who had trades fall through. I think everyone would be able to join in on it.

I think that this is plenty relevant for feedback. There's plenty of proxying that goes on. Sounds like he agreed to proxy then welched on it and ignored him then blocked all communication. If you didn't want to give up the beer or take the time to meet up, just say it. Don't make the guy change around his New Year's plans then go MIA. This whole thing just seems very suspicious. I wouldn't want to trade with someone who acted like this towards another BA or the mods.

Ray is right. Take a side if you all want, but it a 50/50 situation. BrownAle could have done more to try and get the beer to him and maybe not so quick to disconnect comms, Mitchel should have done more to try make himself available, maybe even offer to do the traveling (the beer was for him by the way). Either way, sometimes things fall through, it is life. We move on. Not really an issue for the bad tader forum.

By the way, @BrownAleMale, I'll take that hugs off you. I'm not afaid!

Sure seems a little petty to put someone in time out for disagreeing with you...

It wasn't for disagreeing, it was for arguing a point to witch he was lying about. We can see he looked and we know he got an alert . He wasn't addressing the reason he was being called out. He was basically trolling a mod.
