Dare I hope? I've been lusting after a good, local rye forever that I can keep in the fridge on a regular basis. After being very impressed by Windvane, I'm hoping this is it! I like the art these guys are pumping out, too.

We are happy to announce FIREFLY as the third addition to our rotating beer line-up, joining OMINOUS and MIGRATION. Our Rye Pale Ale will launch Monday, September 23rd at the Rye Deli at 5 PM. FIREFLY clocks in at 5.5% and is brewed with Australian Galaxy hops and American hops. The combination of hops and rye strike a wonderful balance of fruity, citrus and piney notes. Now on to the official description...

Brewed for hot days and crisp cool nights, FIREFLY reminds you of summer while giving a glimpse of fall. Pouring golden with orange hues, FIREFLY serves up a healthy dose of spicy rye with bright flashes of fruity hops. Tip one back quickly before it’s gone and the weather turns Ominous…

Besides releasing FIREFLY on draft we are excited to announce the release of both WINDVANE and FIREFLY in 6-packs soon. In the mean-time enjoy both these beers on tap. Thank you very much for your support and stay tuned for more details...

Sounds quite promising! Alas, everytime a rye hits the market it makes me miss the Summit Rye more.

Hopefully Buzzerben doesnt search my posts to see how many times I have mentioned rye in the past six months.

I am with Maximum on this one, seems like every rye pale that comes around here leaves a lot to be desired. I also miss the Summit IRA big time, and some Founders Red's Rye will hopefully stay fresh now that it is a seasonal.
