Badger Hill Brewing Announces Launch of 12oz Bottles Flagship Beers MSB and Three Tree American Rye 6 packs now available in Twin Cities metro area Minnetonka, MN (Sept 20th, 2012) - Badger Hill Brewing, a new upstart brewery in the Twin Cities, is excited to announce that their craft beers are now available in 12 oz bottles. MSB (Minnesota Special Bitter) and Three Tree American Rye are available immediately in the Twin Cities metro area, with Badger Hills third brew, Foundation Stout, to follow later this fall. "We are extremely excited for this next step in our growth at Badger Hill Brewing" says President Brittany Krekelberg. "We have been working hard the past 2 months to get our bottling line up and running. Our fans can now enjoy a Badger Hill MSB or Three Tree in the comfort of their homes, and we can also introduce ourselves to a new audience." Badger Hill which debuted in June of this year, will support the launch with tastings at several liquor stores throughout the Twin Cities. According to Krekelberg, Badger Hill's alternating proprietorship agreement with Lucid Brewing was a key factor in their launch of 12 oz bottles. "Our relationship with Lucid has allowed us to really focus on high quality. We have been able to invest additional capital on better equipment, such as advanced controls for our fermentation and brite tanks, and have purchased a new bottling line. It is important for Badger Hill to put out the highest quality product, and our new bottling line ensures that quality." Where to find Badger Hill Brewing 6 packs? Retail locations that carry their 12oz bottles will be available on Badger Hill's website along with bars and restaurants that carry them on tap. "Finally, we can now answer the question we most often get asked" says Krekelberg, "'Where can we purchase a six pack of your beer?'".
Nice. I'm a fan of Badger Hill brews so far. Are you bottling this beer at the Lucid/Badger Hill brewery? I didn't think that that facility had the capability of bottling 12oz. Are you contracting out the bottles?
from my experience with Lucid and others impressions I might stay away from connecting the "Badger Hill" product line with them if I was in charge or marketing Badger Hill
I went on the tour & they didn't have the bottling line up & running then, but were talking about having it soon. And according to their release they have their own bottling line, so it sounds like they're self-producing, not contracting. They also talked about looking for space south of the river when they get up & running at full capacity, which would be excellent. We have a complete lack of brewpubs/tasting rooms/brewers down here. I wasn't wowed by their brews on the tour, but the MSB I had recently when bellied up to a bar was pretty good. Certainly going to give the rye a crack when I see it on the shelves!
A beer president named Brittany? What's this world coming to??? Just kidding glad to see a new beer on the MN scene!
Hey John, we are bottling at the brewery. Badger Hill purchased a bottling line and label machine that we got up and running this month. Lucid will be using the line to bottle in 12oz as well.
Yeah, it's a nice beer. Hard to categorize. Sort of a Roggen Bier/Saison/American Pale Ale mash up. Interesting and well made.
