Just stopped by tap room and had.

I would strongly suggest to anyone that loves this type of brew to get to the brewery asap and try before it's gone. They said they have a very limited amount.

It's seriously damn good. Thankful I saw the post.

I'll post review later. Now I have to drive through this snowy crap to Mankato. Damn.

Anyone else get a chance to try?

They made at least a barrel worth, so I can't imaging they will sell through 30 gallons on a day like today.

Also, I'm not sure it is their Foundation Stout. They had a different RIS months ago. I would assume this is the BA RIS, not necessarily BA Foundation.
Not sure if that is the case though.

Yeah....might be my bad. It's definitely their RIS out of a barrel.

Sounds amazing. Too bad the next time I'm going through the cities, and by there is on Easter.

Mildly tempting but I haven't been impressed with the brewery

If you like mediocre RIS with no barrel presence you will love this!

It's their special brewer's batch "RIS" which they put in a barrel from Panther Distillery. The base was very hoppy with some chocolate undertones. The BA version is very bitter with a little more chocolate and little to no discernible barrel character.

They barrel aged it for 3 months, it needed another 3 at least.

I live so close I could ride my bicycle to Badger Hill and was really excited when they set up shop down this way, but I rarely go. Everything about the place is unremarkable. There's really nothing that wrong with the brewery, there's just also really nothing that right. Also, something about a fridge full of pre-filled growlers that don't get replenished when they are out is just annoyong to me. I had high hopes for the place, and still hope they do great things, they just don't seem to be working hard enough for the business right now.
