Any dry-side Washington BA's happen to know the closest spots a guy from Bend would have to travel to get some Bale Breaker? Once I'm up at the border, Yakima's not that much more, but if there's a spot in Goldendale or something that would be ideal. Plotting how to get more Field 41 in my life...

    Walla Walla has it.

Glad I was able to give you a little fix of some Topcutter and Field 41. Might be back at the end of month to get a Crux keg for a wedding.

If that's the case, we'll have to talk. Thank you again for the hookup last time. I had forgotten that I actually prefer the Field 41 over the Topcutter, but both are excellent. Good local pales and IPA's abound, but nothing beats a can for floating the river. Wish I liked Good Life more, but my palate wants what it wants...

It's also everywhere around the Tri-Cities.

Thanks Buckeye, any reports closer to Hwy 97? Looks like Tri Cities is about same driving time from Bend as Yakima.

Is Bale Breaker available in Seattle? Going there in a few weeks.

I know for a fact it's at the Kennewick Mid Columbia Wine & Spirits, south of the mall on Columbia Center Blvd. It might be at a couple of the Yoke's as well, but I haven't been into a Tri-Cities Yoke's since my folks moved across town from near the one in Kennewick.

The problem with crossing the Columbia from Oregon on a beer run is that there isn't much of anything with beer selection between Vancouver and the Tri-Cities, unless you want to drive a long ways "inland" from the river, like Yakima. Any White Salmon BAs out there?

White Salmon? You mean you don't think there's a large BA presence in Dallesport or Lyle?

Maybe at one of the stores in Goldendale... the only real cities in between Yakima and Oregon on highway 97 are Toppenish and Goldendale. Unfortunately Toppenish is in the middle of the Yakima Indian Reservation which is essentially alcohol free. Probably the only casino in the universe with no booze...:grimacing: Yakima or T/C would be your best bet since there are displays of it all over the place in those cities.

I think I have to plan to go to Yakima and regard it as a bonus if I find a place in Goldendale.
