Pazzo's has Grapefruit Sculpin tomorrow. So it's officially here

Interesting. I haven't seen any news release or anything else related to BP in KY. Not saying you're wrong or anything close to it. I would just think they would've had some kind of announcement. Or, at the very least, some kind of mention of it on Facebook as they've done with other states.

Flying Dog has been in KY for years, though their portfolio has dwindled quite a lot in the state. I'm excited about Ballast Point and curious to see when they finally hit Louisville.

Flying dog pulled out of KY at least a year ago. They are back at better price points.

    Sculpin is here.

LB Middletown had it as of yesterday. I passed because for the same price I could grab a 12 pack of SN Celebration.

Saw Grunion, Calm Before the Storm, Sculpin, and Grapefruit Sculpin at Springhurst today. They're not wasting any time. Sure would like that Victory at Sea...

Yep. Picked up a sixer of each of them. I'd had Sculpin before, but looking forward to trying Big Eye, Grunion, an GF. Kentucky, moving on up!

I really wish the St. Matthews Liquor Barn hadn't closed. What a kick in the face that was for me...

But you've got that world class Beverage Warehouse nearby! Good thing they didn't let Liquor Barn stay open, wouldn't want anyone to actually get beer that's less than 8 months old.

Good God, that place is terrible. I know the story is that the LB owner wanted to pursue other endeavors, but the closing had to be related to BW's bitch fit, right? St. Matthews is dying for a good beer store right now.

Yeah, I heard from some other Liquor Barn folks that it was all about the lawsuit regarding the metro ordinance, and the upcoming end of the delay period for LB's appeal. It probably wouldn't be such a bitter pill to swallow if that Beverage Warehouse was even an average-level store, but enough can't be said about how shitty it is: old beer, an environment like a morgue, and rude staff.

Aside from Whole Foods, Shelbyville Road between Frankfort and the Watterson, from a retail perspective, is kind of a craft dead zone, which is a shame considering how vibrant that area is. They're putting some kind of organic grocery in that old LB building, which hopefully will be an above average beer stop.

Yep. I figured. That's why I haven't shopped there since then and I will be continuing that practice. I'm annoyed that an inferior store sues instead of competing.

Fresh Thyme is the name of the place going into the LB. I was looking it up online the other day and it sounds like there is the potential for a pretty solid selection. We will see.

    By the way, Go Cats.
