Ballast Point coming to RVA?

    This could be an existing thread, but I'll post just in case. There are talks of Ballast Point potentially coming to Richmond, Virginia. Does anyone have any idea of a time frame this could happen? Or actually, any information on the matter? It'd be cool to have another big brewer in town.

    Cool, thanks! I actually know the guy Stone is getting to build their office here in Richmond. Fingers crossed Ballest Pointe goes for it!

    Definitely preliminary. Here is another article that came out in March that gives a little more info, though not much. As mentioned by @surfcaster it's nothing serious (yet). VA has received a lot of attention lately so BP is probably just checking the state for itself. I heard reps from Stone personally accompanies BP on a visit a month or so back but that's likely just because they have already done much of the homework on the state. We have definitely seen an influx in their beers being distro'd around Central VA. Probably just checking response of how their product is received. Only time will tell...
