Paid 13.99 here in Texas for a six pack of 3 week old cans. Very nice when fresh and I will definitely cycle GF through my rotation but I still prefer normal Sculpin.

This post, in conjunction with your username, made me chuckle. That is a good idea though! I gotta try it out!

I got some like 2-3 weeks ago. It's in bottle shops and Total in NoVA. Haven't seen the GF cans in Wegmans or WF yet. Wegmans has GF bottles ~or~ cans of sculpin.

Grapefruit cans and Habanero bottles just hit MD. Couldnt find a date on anything. Bought a six of the Habanero, get it home, do some date research... 15120. :slight_frown: fail.

Dude, that's a great date -- April 30th of this year, not even three weeks old.

Yes, thats a great date; SoCal to Maryland through distribution and down your gullet in <3 wks is pretty impressive.

eh, thankfully the heat on this is very firm and lingering so any day 15 drop off that may occur (like in the regular) is overshadowed, and thus, not such a big deal.

So you only drink Sculpin that is under a couple weeks old? I've heard about freshness freaks, but that's a bit extreme, no?

Yeah, hard to take his comment seriously. My shop got the same dated GF Sculpin, I was pretty psyched to get them so fresh!

Never in my whole life have I ever enjoyed anything grapefruit. However I am glad I tried this brew; as it has now been added to my "favorites". The bitter sweet citrus notes of the grapefruit marry superbly with the hops. Ballast point has a real winner here.

Had a few of these, both from a glass and from the can (4th of July drinking pictured above) this past month, and lemme tell ya - these are some fresh-tasting, juicy grapefruits and bitter IPA awesomes! Better flavor from the can, BTW :grimacing:

Any way to see dates on the boxes the cans come in?

Yes, all boxes are dated with a Julian type dating code. Just bought a sixer dated 15174 (June 23, 2015). That's about as fresh as I have seen it in NJ.

I'm biased to canned beers and I don't exactly know why...
