This is my first time trying anything from Ballast Point, but I love Stouts/Porters so I'm willing to pay the $12 to try V@S based on the reviews I have read. That being said, I will be trying Sculpin on tap before I commit to a 6'er or a bomber.

i got sent an old ass sculpin in a bif (that box also included a 2 year old double jack ), and have never had it fresh (or anything resembling fresh).

might pop by nobi and check it out soon.

I've had fresh on tap before I knew it was the "Higest rated single IPA". I found it meh at best.

I would give it another chance on tap, but can't see paying $2.50-$3 a bottle for it at a store.

sculpin is pretty solid, but if i was spending my money on BP it would be on dorado.

I had the complete opposite reaction when I tried it at Nobi Public House last night. It was sooo good!

Went by Shell today.. they have plenty of Ballast Point still.. there are sixers of Sculpin in the cooler.. and in the middle of the front display they have bombers of VAS and a couple of others.... including their regular porter which was 6.99 for the bomber.

Specs Bay Area has bombers of Black Marlin Porter ($4.99), Victory At Sea Imperial Coffee Porter ($9.99), and Sculpin India Pale Ale ($7.99). Prices may be off, I'm just going by memory.

Boo! I was in Houston on Tuesday and went to Spec's on Smith and I'm really bummed out I missed out on Sucks and Sculpin by a couple of days. I did pick up an Uberkind, I was surprised they had like 10 bottles, and then I looked at the price tag :stuck_out_tongue:

Didn't see any Uberkind, but did see multiple bottles of the OG Black Metal.

They had one bottle left last night. It was hidden behind all of the Wytchmaker.

I grabbed a V@S and sixer of Sucks too.

Had some Sculpin from a growler last night and was pleasantly surprised. This encounter was much better than previous.

You can't get that here yet.

The weird thing is the fact that the label is completely different than the one I had the other night. And the one a month before that.

    Ours looked like this:
