I am heading to Plano this weekend and I was hoping my fellow Beer Advocates can help me locate Ballast Point beers in the Metroplex. Where can I pick a few while I am in town? Cheers, Brian
It should be quite easy to pick up. I haven't been to Plano in a minute, but I would assume Mr. G's and Kegs & Barrels has it. You can for sure pick some up at Lonestar in Carrollton and Central Market at Lovers/Greenville.
Thanks for the info. I am familiar with Kegs&Barrels. I'll give them a call to see if they have it. Is it only the smaller stores that carry it?
I'm going to be in Dallas tomorrow for the Ranger's game. Anyone know of locations close to Arlington or in FW that will have it? Preferably something along I-30. I was really hoping to find some Sculpin if it's not too inconvenient
Whole Foods in Arlington, maybe 2 miles from the stadium has it (Scuplin) in bombers. I haven't seen it in 6'ers. The Tom Thumb another 2-3 miles north on Collins (at Green Oaks) had Calico and Big Eye in 6'ers a week ago but I don't think they kept a big stockpile. Another spot to check would be the Majestic off East Chase Parkway (probably 5 miles on the highway), but I haven't been by there recently to confirm...they do have a massive selection so it would not surprise me
Have you had the Calico yet? What do you think? I am not huge fan of Ambers but I may pick one up just to try.
I had it on tap at FS and I thought it was very good. Much better than the Alaskan Amber, but for the price I'd still rather have Lagunitas Imperial Red. Still worth trying for any IPA fans.
If you find some can you post where, because I'll be in Plano next week and would love to find some as well.
Both Kegs&Barrels locations have the Sculpin, Big Eye, Pale Ale, and the Amber. Also you can find it at Tom Thumb. The 6pk of Big Eye I got at TT was cheaper than the 6 I saw at K&B. Cheers, Brian
