Nope, just a big ol' cup of nope for me. Had 2oz sample of this from a friend the other night - revolting. Like having pineapple on a pizza, I just don't get the mint thing in a beer. pass. Enjoy for those who like the combo...

Is this supposed to taste like drinking coffee immediately after brushing your teeth? Sounds terrible. BP has gone overboard with the adjuncts as of late.

Yup, that's exactly what they were going for. The board thought it a little much, but Constellation was all like, "Yo, I think there's niche market for after-coffee tooth brushers that we're not hitting. Let's do this." On brew day, they carefully squeeze 75,000 tubes of Crest into the boil, then dry hop with several year old peppermint candies that got rejected by the local food bank. It's a labor of love, to be sure. Hope you like it!

Of the three VAS variants we had on draft at my bar/bottle shop, i like peanut butter the best, but i felt the peppermint was the most interesting. Nowhere close to over the top mint flavor.

It's absolutely true. Nelson doesn't even have close to the same color it used to have and the flavor profile is much different. The others don't taste nearly as good as they used too. Placebo my *ss and how can you even comment if you've never had pre-GF Alpine before? Ridiculous.

Whoa, guy. Did I hit a nerve with the pretentious comment? I can comment by specifically stating that I did not have Alpine pre-GF before making my comment. Therefore, receive any following opinions of mine with that in mind. I followed that up by stating that I think Duet and Alpine were incredible beers. In fact, I did have the Pure Hoppiness brewed by Alpine and I personally enjoyed Nelson and Duet (brewed via GF) better. Recent reviews of Duet and Nelson appear to still be quite strong so maybe you just have an incredibly awesome and discerning palate. The point I was making is that, without fail, every time a brewery changes something about a beer and how/where it is brewed, it is automatically scolded and said to be worse. I am personally of the opinion that this is not always the case and I think that the (sometimes) snobby nature of certain beer drinkers interferes with the enjoyment of beer drinking in general. Cheers!

A friend and I just opened another bomber of this stuff and it is a really good beer. I've had it on draft and bottled and I might be a fan of bottled with this one.

Had this on tap and got zero peppermint in the nose and zero on the palate

Glad I got to try this, wasn't blown-away though. Would have been cool if there were 12oz bottles that would have been plenty for me.
