I hear that, my brother lives in Orlando and is also a beer geek, so I'm covered as well. But it would be awesome to have some on tap or to buy at the local stores.

That's what I get for mixing logic with beer.
    It's an Illicit Affirmative fallacy.

I would kill for some fresh Sculpin cans, and more money to pay for the outrageous $15/sixer price.

Any updates here? I talked to a few people in the industry but they haven't heard a word...would be nice to hear something now that we're in the month that we're supposed to get it. Cheers!

Don't hold your breath, this talk started last year around GABF.

I had a dream last night about going to a gas station and seeing this short, fat keg with Sculpin's label painted all over it and it was right next to a pick six rack. I don't dream about beer often and have never had Sculpin, so it can only be a sign. Perhaps it's like the three-eyed raven from Game of Thrones, I need to go where no sane man ventures (AKA eastern Colorado) to find the magnificently painted Sculpin keg and Ballast Point shall appear on Colorado shelves.

Sculpin will be a $15-ish six-pack from what I heard from the distributor. No word yet on when it will actually hit. Anybody care about the rest of the brand?

$15? Guess I won't be buying any Sculpin. I like it but it's not worth a 50%+ premium over Odell IPA or Hop Notch. At that price it will likely be hard to find fresh once we're a bit past the initial drop

Pliny would be $29.50 or so a six-pack of 12oz bottles so that doesn't look so bad.

    But its PLINY!

Seeing how fast it leaves the shelves I am in the minority here, but I won't buy bottles of Pliny at ~$7 a bottle when i can buy a 4 pack of Myrcenary for $10.

Yes I care lots about Victory At Sea, no matter the age! Big Eye and Dorado are solid IPAs and I would purchase Sea Monster, still haven't tried Tongue Buckler but hear good things. My wife was just in San Diego drinking plenty of fresh Sculpin and said it may be her favorite IPA, or at least near the top and she almost drinks like me

Never tried that one but really want to. That and Scuplin are the 2 BP beers that iI was looking forward too upon reading the news of BP coming to CO.

I know it's easier said then done but if everyone works together we can beat this 'old' beer thing. The breweries, distributors, liquor stores and consumers. Look at Lagunitas Sucks (love that shit), comes an goes how an IPA should! Just don't over saturate out of state markets! Distributors and liquor stores make sure it doesn't get old, and consumer drink great beer! But I don't work in the business (work at a brewery) so probably don't understand all the details!

    Mmmmm...Sucks...

For me price is a factor but the biggest factor on whether I'll buy Sculpin is how fresh it is. And I too want to get some Victory at Sea...sounds amazing.

well BeerSlingerMike did say late August which, translated from Elite-ese, means mid-to-late September, to me anyhoo. I sure wouldn't expect it before Labor Day, that's for sure. Seeing this thread move to the top gave me false hope...

Edit to add: went back and looked, he said "late August at the earliest" which to me means early October, maybe...oh well, plenty of other good stuff to drink, and as the Ozark Mountain Daredevils once said, it'll shine when it shines.
