Ballast Point Sculpin in CT

Mine was $8.99 at Coastal on Saturday, so maybe they changed the prices.

 

Interesting..........not surprised at Coastal,not one bit.

I saw that you posted that(or atleast someone did),and was expecting that price but bam,

Ended up being almost $11 after tax,dep.......

 

Connecticut has the same best by date

 

I just want to say, pertaining to California breweries shipping to CT in particular, I recently spoke with someone who works for a distributor in CT who is very high up and oversees the company's craft accounts and he was telling me the cost of shipping a pallet of beer from California to CT. The cost was mind-blowing and after we quickly ran some numbers it worked out that they were basically breaking even on the beer. If I remember correctly, the cost to ship a pallet of Lagunitas 4/6pk case for example was around $1000 a pallet. I am sure there is a lot more to this as they wouldn't be in business if they were constantly breaking even but I just want to point out that, at least for me, I can understand some higher prices on beer coming from the West Coast to the East Coast. While I am in love with Sea Hag and drink it like I have issues, I can't compare Sea Hag pricing to Stone, Ballast Point, Lagunitas etc. pricing.

 

Damn. It's $14.99 here in Illinois. Bought it once. The guilt of spending $16 on a sixer outweighed the enjoyment of the beer. There are many other IPAs in my area for much cheaper. Won't be delving into Sculpin again.

 

It was down to 14.99 today - and in the new bottles!

 

I picked up a 6-pack of Sculpin with a July bottle date last week for $12.99 in SE MA.
