    Hello all,

My girlfriend has had this beer at the top of her "most wanted" list for quite some time now, and I just came across it today and bought it, making it a perfect Christmas present. My question is: For those of you who have experience, how does Sea Monster age? The bottle i purchased is 4 years old, which I know for some beers is fine, but for others may cause a decrease in enjoyability. Anyone with experience aging Ballast Point's Sea Monster? Please share impressions and how old the beer was when consumed. I look forward to any and all responses.

Had one the other day that I've had for a year and a half don't think it was too much older than that since the store I got it from has a high turnover. It tasted fine, still hoppy and bitter, not too much coffee but the chocolate was there. Did not taste tamed down at all at that age, doesn't taste too much different from fresh ones I had not sure what happens in another 2 years+ though.
