This will have to be found on tap, which has my optimism & attention. Fresh bottled Sculpins less than impress for me these days & that's just the beer itself. Don't get me started on their pricing....

I acknowledge that BP beers are more expensive than all other shelf beers, but at ~15 per sixer, you're still paying less per ounce than most of these new-age, special-release IPAs people are waiting in long lines for. If this beer is anywhere near as good as some of those beers, it would be hard to argue it's overpriced.

Maybe we should just say "No" to both?

That is indeed what I do.

Pay 15 bucks if that is what you choose to do.

    Cheers!

Never really cared for Sculpin at any reasonable price. I'd be curious about the unfiltered if I saw it on tap, but it's still Sculpin no matter how they make it appear.

If I can pick up a single, I'll give it a try.

So now they are selling Hazy Sculpin as a variant?

I don't get it, what does unfiltered add to Sculpin?

If I see this on draft I'll get a pour, otherwise I'm pretty much done with BP

It appeals to the crhazies is what it does. The U-word is a powerful purchasing stimulus for them.

An unfiltered beer should have more flavor right? They're sacrificing appearance for more flavor.

Canned Speedway is the most interesting thing I saw in the OPs link, to be honest.

The only time I drink sculpin is on draft. it seems to be places where it's the best option and it's usually on par with other iPas when it comes to price...on draft that is.

Eh...I'll give it a go if on tap. Maybe try a single?

However, I totally agree with Prince_Casual about the canned Speedway! Now that is something to get excited about!

I think Sculpin needs a little shot in the arm.. Maybe this will renew my desire to drink it.

I think Ballast Point, and other large brewing companies (Sam Adams and Stone for example) need to realize you can't just make your IPAs unfiltered and expect to garner as much attention as the locals.

If it's anything like Rebel Raw and Unfiltered Enjoy By, then it's nothing like the "New England-style" IPA. Even it was, it wouldn't be as fresh.

They need to think outside the box on this one, rather than jumping on the bandwagon.

Yes sir, those "crhazies" like that stuff.

    Cheers!
