I was wondering if there are any bottle shares going on in the Baltimore area? If not those interested can post here.
There's an Annapolis Bottle Share group if you search the forum. If you are North of Baltimore City (Towson), though, I would be interested.
I live in Delaware but work in Baltimore city for the Army. I would be interested in coming down and drinking with some afficionados.
I don't believe there are any establishments that allow large tastings. When we started one a few years back we couldn't find one and alternated hosting. I'm in Timonium.
In the past, Max's has allowed bottle shares. I've attended several there. The more information you have the better (in terms of a date and number of folks), in terms of talking to Casey about it. I was told in the past that in the county, it's illegal for anyone to open a beer in a bar that wasn't purchased through a licensed state distributor. That's the reason I was given at the Judge's Bench for why we couldn't hold one there (as I think Mike would have been all over it otherwise).
Count me in! Bottles be cracked at Max's but never in any kind of organized manner, at least not since @John_M.
depending on when the date settles, i may be in. would be a lot of fun, and would be nice to meet some fellow local beer lovers!
Wonder if anything ever came of the Baltimore area bottle share? I'm over nearer to Catonsville and would love to get something going. I'd love to get some people together sometime. I bring a lot of stuff back from Northern Vermont, and am happy to share.
@nm6969, you should take a look at the Annapolis thread as one of the previous get together was hosted in your area and the next one is in Severna Park, a pretty easy drive from where you are.
