Baltimore/Laurel MD Suggestions

    Hi all! I am newer here and looking for suggestions in the Laurel area of MD. Looks for places to eat, drink, maybe some local breweries that are good, etc. I will be working here for another 8 weeks and will need the occasional beer. :slight_smile:

    Any suggestions area greatly appreciated.

    There is a place in Laurel called the Jailbreak Brewery that has a nice selection of beers. They even have a nice pub style place to eat. They also on selected days have brewery tours as well.

    I have only been there once because I actually live about 90 minutes away from Laurel. Just so you know it is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

    Haven't been in a while, but in the past, Kloby's smokehouse had a pretty decent draft selection, with pretty good food (mostly BBQ and smoked meats) to go with it. There's also a pretty decent Total Wine in Laurel as well.

    If you don't mind a bit of a drive, Frisco's taphouse and brewery over in Columbia isn't too far away.

    Just as an "oh by the way," Columbia is a pretty affluent suburb of Baltimore, and so prices there tend to be on the high side for the area. The draft selection at Frisco's is first rate, but prices there can be a bit, ahem, pricey.

    Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely try these places out while I am here. I will probably go out tonight to one of them, just have to decide which one.
