Am looking for a meeting space for at least 200 people on Friday Evening, July 13 in Baltimore.

Can anyone recommend any good brewpubs / bars close to the U of B. Law School?

    thanks!

Brewer's Art is where i'd go, although to to get 200 people in there on a Friday night which would already probably be crowded, could be tough. Two other places in the area i can think of that you could try would be Club Charles or The Owl Bar. However, i can't really vouch for either one as i have not been to them in years. Alewife is a good beer bar of decent size not that far from the area. Maybe try a Google maps search of the area?

I think the problem is the size of an establishment necessary to handle 200 people. Max's has an upstairs lounge that you can reserve, but there's no way it/they can handle 200 people. Brewer's Art, Alewife, Liam Flynn's, Joe Squared, the Owl Bar... none of those places can handle that size crowd, even if the proposed date was on a Monday or Tuesday. On a Friday evening, all of those places will typically be packed.

Maybe the Pratt Street Ale House could handle that size crowd (with their recent expansion), but that would pretty much fill the entire place, so the OP would probably have to reserve it in advance. I'm not sure the owner would be willing to rent the place out on a Friday night.

Frisco's or Victoria's gastropub might be able to accommodate that size crowd, but they're nowhere near the law school, and again, on a Friday night, both places are likely to be packed.

Your best bet would definitely be Pratt Street Ale House. When I was getting married we were thinking about having the Rehearsal dinner there. At that time they told us they could accommodate up to 120 upstairs(not that we had that many) and the downstairs has decent room. With the above mentioned expansion on the side and outside seating, it's probably the best chance at fitting 200 people.
