Bamberg is one of my favorite beer destinations. As a label collector, I am always searching for new ones. Of all the Bamberg area breweries, Kaiserdom seems to be the one with the most labels - Kaiserdom, Alt-Bamberger, Löwenbräu Bamberg and Bürgerbräu Bamberg. There is even Weizenland and Domfürsten - allthough I have never seen these myself. I am not sure how they name their beers. I assume Kaiserdom is their best, but am not sure of the others. Alt-Bamberger has their own website, while the others don't, so I assume they are their mass-market brews meant to compete, price-wise, with the German monster breweries. Does anyone know of their naming convention? Am I missing others - Tucher comes to mind as well, although I believe they just label their beer according to the town whose Brewery they absorbed (like the Borg!).
