I have a Bambic that says Blend 1 on the little sticker on the side of the bottle. Is that like batch 1? Did they brew more batches of this, or just have different blends? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure "blend 1" would be the first batch. Someone more knowledgeable than I may correct me, but I think they've made it twice now. I don't think there are different blends released at the same time.

Jolly Pumpkin labels all their beers as blend (at least from what I have seen) I've seen two batches of Bambic

Two batches of Bambic in bottles. It's also on tap right now.

Yeah what he said! We had Batch 1 at a tasting in late 2011. Pretty good little sour.

    Cheers!

Actually, there have been 3 batches of Bambic in bottles - Blends 1, 2 and 4 (blend 3 was skipped).

Blend 4 was 330ml only, to my knowledge. I think there were very limited amounts of 750s along with 330s of Blends 1 and 2.

    Blend 3 wasn't actually 'skipped.'
When ordering/creating the labels the brewer forgot what batch they were on, and he thought it was batch 4... So that's what the labels say.
There are actually 12 to 20 bottles in existence that are in fact labeled "batch 3."

That was my first thought too... But the label would be too easy to counterfeit...

Correct, I was aware of that. Did not realize there were a few actually labeled batch 3.

The story I heard was that friends of the brewer insisted on the grounds that there would be a hole in their verticals.
I'm unsure of the total number, but it sounded like only 3 or 4 people actually have bottles that are properly labeled by the brewery.
