Has anyone purchased a used barrel (wine, rum, bourbon, etc) from Bancroft Barrel Company in Somerville or Woburn? I am looking to procure some more barrel's for aging/blending purposes. Cheers.
I have not but I am in the market for a used wine barrel. I couldn't find a web site for this place, do you have a link?
I couldn't find a link either. I tried calling both places but no one picked up. I was talking with owner of a distillery in Boston and he recommended them. I have tried local wineries but no luck. I know Nashoba sells used 60gallon barrels but they are all out right now. That is too large for me I need 20 or smaller. Have you been able to get any barrels from other places?
Beer and Wine Hobby in Woburn has re worked (recouped?) 15-20 gallon barrels for sale. I'd buy one if they were not re worked.
