    Wow, might have to travel for this taplist.
    Can anyone share the experience from last year? Is it pretty much full all day long, or do you get reasonable access to the bar? how does this work?

    Last year I heard there was a huge line when they opened and they advertised Cherry Rye and BCBCS but both ran out within an hour or two, with BCBS floating shortly thereafter. It was super crowded as expected, but past the Bourbon Counties and a few others, most of the kegs lasted all day.

    @luisfrancisco I believe they opened at 11 last year, arrived about 15 minutes early and there were probably 20 people in front of us. Got a seat inside, close to the bar, had a flight in front of me within 5 minutes of sitting down. I had another flight after that, then was still able to get a full pour of Cherry Rye. It was rather packed by 1 p.m. with seating inside and out full. We wanted inside because it's Texas and well, it can get hot. Service was great though and new beer was being rotated on as soon as kegs popped and the wait staff did an excellent job of keeping you informed if you asked about new items being tapped. It was a great time and I wish I could make it again this year.

    It was crowded. It was a madhouse, but it was one hell of a party. We got to drink some amazing beers that day.

    So this year we got more than one slim of most of the bourbon county stuff and I thiiiiink the plan is to tap our backups so those beers should be up on the wall longer than last year! Additionally, there will be an outside Berliner Weiss / gose station. As for other surprises in the works, we have some holes in the wall we are leaving open for some badass last minute arrivals. A certain new brewery out of Houston should be throwing a keg our way. There are more bottles from our cellar too that didn't make it on the list that we will make available. If TABC approves it in time we will probably have a brand new bourbon barrel stout from a local brewery. The 5 stones stuff we have in the works are some new ones that sound amaaaazing. We will be tapping badass casks all day as they blow one by one. I'm also going to be pushing for a small bottle share before we open. We shall see! As far as the crowd goes; it's our busiest day of the year but we are staffed the fuck up so it doesn't take too long to get a beer.

    Killing me we're going to miss it this year. We actually cut a trip short last year to make it... and it was a blast! But this go around, can't get back in time. Grrrr :slight_frown:

    heh. sorry lee! but hey like i told you at the bar the other night, our tap wall looks pretty damn good the next morning for brunch. so keep that in mind for those of you that can't make it to the party. we are gonna have some good stuff leftover for brunch the next day.

    i also want to make a couple corrections. we do not have backups of most of the goose island stuff, just one or two of em. additionally, i pushed reallyyyyy hard for a bottle share beforehand but it doesn't look like thats going to happen. however, if any of y'all want to set up a bottle share with me at some point - lets do it! get at me on here or come see me at the bar. my name is josh and i am usually behind the bar. come say hi. i try to keep tired hands and de garde on hand. this goes for trades as well!

    Hey Brutal Susan I'm down for a bottle share anytime just let me know. I've met you at the bar quite a few times and you'll probably remember me, my name is Jason. Anyways, keep us posted for any new developments with this party because I'll definitely be there. Let me know about that bottle share, I just got some good sours from California.

    I spent way too much money at last year's party. I sat at my table for way too long. I also had a great effin time.

    And then, I made the mistake of going to Oasis TX Brewing for their opening(?). Followed by an impromptu bottle share at my house.

    I felt great the next day.

    I am hoping to keep to just your bar this year.
