There aren't too many reviews, so I thought I'd ask people's opinions of their beers.

I'd had the Banner American Ale on tap last spring a few times, didn't think it was that great. Went back to it this week in cans, and found it to be right on par with the Bitter Americans and Notch Session Ales of this world.

Also had their "All Nighter" which is an ESB. This was my favorite from them so far, a nice little English ale. Quite flavorful and actually tasted like a bitter, with all the typical characteristics you'd associate with one. Not my favorite bitter ever, but it was very good.

I also have had their Rye, I only had one, but I thought it was a mess. I did not enjoy that one at all, can't remember specifics however.

    Thoughts?

I thought the rye was just okay. Nothing I would buy again. The American Ale was a nice beer. I didn't have a chance to to try out the all nighter. Honestly, Notch is still king to me.

Far better in cans than bottles. From a purely retail standpoint, their packaging is hideous, I honestly think it hurts the brand.

They have a new hoppy brown. Packaging is weird and cheap. Almost feels like I am over paying at $2 a can

I have a single in the fridge I'm going to get around to. Completely agree about the packaging, I almost don't want to bring it to parties because it looks like fake beer.

I got a six pack of the Banner Ale for $8.50, $2 per can seems steep.

They were at Julios a couple Saturdays ago pouring samples. I tried a few of the beers and nothing grabbed me - but it's hard to get any real appreciation just from a 1 oz sample. Still, nothing interested me enough to want to buy it. I found the packaging hilariously cheap-looking, too.

I saw it in the store and had never heard of them. The packaging looked like discount beer from the 70's so I passed.
