    It uses hop extract for the early kettle additions (as mentioned) to reduce the amount of wort lost to the hops, and sugar to dry it out more. The horror.

    I just listened to a brewing podcast (2010, I think?) with Vinnie talking about it. They use hop extract for the bittering, and pellets for mid boil and finishing :slight_smile:
