I am going to be in Columbus, Ohio next week, staying downtown and spending most of my days at the convention center. What are some bars or breweries in the immediate neighborhood that would be good places to hit up to sample the best regional beers? What are places to avoid? Places with good food is a plus. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Breweries in walking distance: Barley's, Wolf's Ridge, Elevator, Gordon Biersch.

Spider889 - Thanks for the recommendations, I checked out the websites for Barley's, Wolf's Ridge and Elevator, they all look interesting and in the right location. Thanks again.

If you (and anyone visiting 2015) can get as far north as Bodega or Local Bar (3rd/1st and High St. respectively), those are great places to sample wide varieties of Columbus/Ohio. And, if you are willing to uber/taxi to campus area, I recommend 4th Street Bar and Grill - over 50 taps of amazing rarities that run half off thru 9pm...just make sure you visit during the summer before the college crowd comes back and bros up the place.

I really enjoyed Bodega when I visited. I managed to go during a happy hour (maybe Thur) and all their drafts were half off.

I will be in Columbus next week for work and was wondering if Columbus Brewing will they have Bodhi on tap? Can you also get bottles there? If not any local shops that tend to have them?

Also, any other can't miss breweries? Any bars that have a lot of Jackie O's on tap?

    Thanks!
