Bare Hands Brewery opened in December, 2011 with one simple mission: Handcrafting small batches of incredible beer with the highest quality ingredients. Owned and operated by South Bend native Chris Gerard, all brewing at Bare Hands is done on site in the Granger (South Bend suburb) brewery. Beer is available on 10 rotating taps in the brewpub and limited distribution in Indiana. Bare Hands beers have quickly developed a cult following among local beer geeks; Chris’s preference for clean, well balanced (and often potent) ales show in his wide range of ever-changing styles. It’s a real shame. My love for BH aside it seems pretty obvious that the city is fibbing when they said they haven’t been contacted By BH since 2016 given BH had a giant blowout beerfest at the SB location and of course had to have permits for that. As someone that lives by the area, I can say the area is coming up really fast and that I know row houses are being built right next to that spot. It all adds up to the shaft in my humble uneducated opinion

I guess I am kind of turding it up, but I am just trying to keep up the same spirit of the Indiana beer thread . I wish breweries would choose better labels. That one is as ugly as any that Hoof hearted puts out, which is to say, some of the ugliest. And the name. It's as bad as brown note. Why would I want to drink that? (I get the allusion. It's besides the point.)
448# Blackberries and 180# Rhubarb can only mean one thing.......Dream Demon, our collab with Elm Street Brewing Co. will return.... don’t fall asleep, you may miss it! Untappd Link to Dream Demon

Any thoughts on these? Personally, I don't use untappd really to get a sense of whether or not I will like something, as people almost never leave feedback, just rate (frustrating). Even on BA, I take reviews less seriously unless I know someone's palate. Otherwise, to get an idea I will sometimes read a TON. Knowing what you like from them, would be curious if you have any thoughts and comparisons to make.
Dream Demon Milkshake DIPA You wont want to sleep on Blackberry Rhubarb Milkshake DIPA as it disappears as fast as you can say "Nine, ten, Never sleep again...." June 4th - 4:00 PM Dream Demon Untappd Link
Haha, no he's not, I just didn't pay much attention to it because I didn't know how to reply to it, if you don't use Untappd because you don't take others reviews seriously why would my opinion matter, shrugs. I like what these guys do otherwise I wouldn't have a thread with their releases.
Joe England NEIPA I feel I never told you the story of the Joe.....Joe England is that witty and charming friend we all have who is never afraid to be spontaneous and enjoy life to the fullest. I appreciate you keeping us up to date in this thread, and I'm super grateful for all the deliveries to Dave at the Village Bottle Shoppe next to Purdue's campus. The Dream Demon is right up there with your other fruited milkshake IPAs, and the rhubarb is a nice tart change of pace. I had Spirit Breaker at Taxman's Death and Taxes Day festival, but I was glad to see it canned so I could try it in a less overwhelming sensory environment. It's the first triple IPA I've had that I didn't find to be a malty mess that was just going for higher ABV for the hell of it. Really good stuff. Now please drop another batch of Mail Order Bride, so I can buy a case of it. Thanks!
No sweat, they deserve to be put on blast! If you liked Dream Demon you should snag up any of their other shakes that you might see. The red raspberry one is out of control, it takes like Barqs red cream soda. Spirit breaker is definitely nuts. If you served me that and told me it was 6% instead of nearly double that, I would believe you.
The New Westy - Limited Batch IPA We took everything we love about our our house IPA and added American wheat malt, and a healthy portion of American oats. Unthinkable amounts of the two best hop varieties in the Pacific Northwest were thrown into the whirlpool to introduce juicy, dank hop aroma and flavor. A special yeast variety was brought in to create a medium, smooth malt body. After fermentation a heroic dose of hops was then added twice for dry hopping. Juicy hops ride behind a silky smooth body followed by a crisp finish with little to no bitterness. The true taste of freedom and adventure!! June 26th - 4:00PM - Limit 1 Case PP See you there!
Walter White IPA First batch in 3 years. An American style White IPA brewed with white wheat and pilsner malts creating a light and crisp body. Generous amounts of Australian Galaxy hops are added throughout the boil and for a big dry hop to create a tropical hoppy finish. When it comes to adding hops...we're done when we say we’re done! Keep It Fresh Bitch! July 3rd - 4:00PM - Limit 1 Case PP
I don't know if anyone went to Double ThaiPA Day, but the special releases just made it to my local shop. I'm quite enjoying the Thai Milkshake right now, with Thai spices, mango, raspberry, vanilla, and lactose. Also very much looking forward to the Thai Chocolate Coconut stout. I wish I could have gone to the release party this past weekend, but I'm glad that some of the goodies got distributed to my neck of the woods!
