Anyone else try this one yet? I had it at the brewery a couple weeks back and ended up grabbing a growler of it...I think it is not only one of the best DIPAs I have ever had but one of the best beers I have ever had.

I wish I could taste it side by side with Notorious and Simtra because it has that same high ABV but extremely delicious character.

The only problem with Tank Slapper, is that they don't make nearly enough of it to keep me satisfied. We never get it down here in Eugene (most craft beer bars have never heard of it), and I rarely see it even up in PDX.

It's a beer I order every time I see it on the menu.

I have only ever seen it at the brewery in Baker City - which I was fortunate enough to visit because I was at a wedding there but it isnt a short drive  I wish we got more of any of the Barley Brown beers in Seattle...I never see any of them...

Bitch Slapper was even better. I've only ever seen it on tap once but it compared to a lot of the best Alpine, Boneyard and HF IPAs I've had.

Now I need to find some of that  Glad you mentioned Alpine because I think Tank Slapper was very similar to Bad Boy. Hard to know without having them side by side but I would say it tasted like Bad Boy with a splash of Notorious or Simtra in there...4 of my favorite beers of all time for sure.

Why does Portland have such a better beer scene than Seattle...:slight_frown:

That's good to know. Promoting DV didn't really seem like Barley Brown's sort of thing; it does seem a lot more likely that Apex might do that.

Thumbs up on the beer but big agreement to a thumbs down on the name; much better to stick with the brewery naming scheme.

I live 45 mins from the brewery...LOVE Barley Browns's. Tank/Super Slapper are both excellent, but if they ever brew Head Shake again, I'd highly suggest trying it.

Very cool! I found the last batch of Head Shake to be a strong rival to Hop Venom. Sounds like a couple of growler fills in my immediate future. Life is tough.

So the bar just takes it upon itself to rename a beer? Not only is that extremely douchey, might it not break some truth in advertising laws? Did they even check with the brewery to see if they minded?
