Wait, but... pretty sure you've filled growlers of BB for me.

Maybe I should have specified. Pallet Jack, WFO, Head Shake, Tank Slapper....all IPA's & DIPA's along those lines I've been told are no-go's for growlers. I've never had any of those on-tap

Hand Truck, Tumble Off, Turmoil, etc,...basically all non-IPA's are ok for growler fills.

Did point blank ever explain their thinking? Is there something peculiar to BB IPA's/DIPA's that they feel makes filling a growler with them inappropriate?

For that matter, and just out of curiosity, if one of their customers were to essentially thumb their noses at PB and sell growlers of BB IPA/DIPA anyway, what would the reaction be from PB?

    John,

From my understanding it's BB's request as with the current demand they can't pump out enough Pallet Jack, etc., for the Portland market and Point Blank just relays the message to their customers.

Thanks. I was just curious. We get a fair amount of pallet jack down here in Eugene, and most places will fill a growler of it. 16 tons had tank slapper last weekend and were selling growlers. It was expensive ($25), but it was available if you wanted to pay the piper.

When the kegs are around, BB growlers are no problem here in Boise.

Speaking of BB, 16 tons cafe here in Eugene currently has tank slapper, tumble off and head shake all on tap.

I feel a real bad work related headache coming on, that I'm pretty sure the dispensary over at 16 tons can help me with.

Lucky you. Wish I would have grabbed more growlers of TS when I grabbed yours.

Man, that's a tough call to make. The Head Shake is awfully, awfully good, but so is the tank slapper.

    Maybe the HS... maybe...

Probably more of a mood thing, more than anything else. Right now, today, the HS tastes like the (slightly) better beer.

:-) Headshake growlers are $24 down here, same as tank slapper. I still have your growler, that I need to return anyway, and I'll be up in PDX this weekend. Do you want me to bring it back up with fill of Head Shake (or TS, if you prefer)?

    OK. Consider it done.

You just have to let me know where I can drop it off. I'll be in Hood River until 2:00, most likely, but I can meet you in PDX anytime after 2:45 or 3:00 I would think. Just let me know where.

Agreed. Just to put things in perspective... 16 tons' keg blew when I arrived, and Bier Stein said they wouldn't fill a growler of it. So I ended up getting a growler of notorious for phobicsquirrel instead, and that was only $17.

    Really does make you think.

Yeah I'll take notorious over any ipa any day of the week. Amazed at how it's cheaper.
