Barley Forge Brewing Co. is closing

Rumor is that the owner didn't want to have outside investors and wanted to keep ownership of the brewery squarely with himself.

At the same time scaling up and increasing distribution requires $$$ so rather than compromise his values he ended things on his own terms.

Take this with a dump truck of salt, though.

 

At one of the last days of Valiant, the owner said a similar thing to me, that while the brewery was doing well and he was in the black, he'd need more money to take the next step and the risk was too large.
