Mods shouldn't this be moved to the Great Lakes forum?

 

Will the beer make it to Madison an Milwaukee? It seems that it will produce enough beer to supply both of those markets.

 

My buddy just moved to NR, was really impressed with the craft boom going on in that hudson/nr area. This just gives me another reason to spend more time over there

 

Don't forget 45th Parallel if you're into Bourbon, Rye, and other hooch.

 

If it is brought back to MN through a distro, does it not abide by the three tier system? I would assume that there would be a different tax ID and a different company all together. Could he not call it a contract brewer? Fitger's does something like this, right? They contract through Lake Superior I thought

Calling it right now- they will probably only produce 1/2 of their estimated goal of 7000 BBLs. I've been to the pub many a time & enjoy the beer but I don't think many people in WI even know who Barley John's is. That number is probably similar to Rush River who is an actual established WI brewery that has been around for 5+ years. I hope them the best but these numbers seem to be in the Wisconsin Brewing Co atmosphere- ridicuously high.

 

The tap room is now open, Thur. - sun. Hours are limited, so please check website for more information. The pub has been open for 16yr. More to come BAM!!!

Interesting. I'll give the Porter and brown ale a try, especially if I can find some singles. Dark Knight sounds promising, are they going to be able to distribute it without changing the name?

 

So far seems like the beer names are the same where recipes appear to just be scaled up in regards to Barley John's Brewpub and Barley John’s Brewing Company. I haven't heard if that caused any legal headaches.

 

Wasn't asking in regards to names between brewpub and brewery, but specifically 'Dark Knight'. It's synonymous enough with a certain super hero that I could see the comic people objecting.

How is this stuff selling in your guy's areas? Its getting dusty around me, which is a shame because I think they have potential.
