Thanks for the input, I have my Bro-in-law grab:

    Fyling Mouflan
    ST Back Burner
    Monster
    Smuttynose BW

As for the team drinkers I am limiting it to ten. I either have 2 12oz or 1 22oz so roughly 700 or so ounces total to consume.

    70oz should be no sweat.

70oz of 10% + ABV beer is actually quite a lot.

70oz of Barleywine is about the the same as putting down a 12 pack of Boston Lager or Fat Tire. It's going to be one hell of a party!

The same is kind of true about Bell's Third Coast Old Ale, which is obviously called an Old Ale on the label but it's really a barleywine.

I'll also add Arcadia's Cereal Killer Barleywine to the list to consider. It's a very good English-style version.

5 people could *totally* drink 23 different barleywines. I'd have 911 on speed dial though.

Hes not going 23, but 35. He should just call the ambulance now and have it posted outside.

    Cheers!

    LOL, sorry - lost track.

On the plus side, this is going to be the most expensive vomit... in the world.

My first thought after seeing your list was why Sunturnbrew? Have you sampled this beer? I understand it is technically a barley wine, but when I had it, and maybe it was just me, it was a smoke bomb that did not resemble a barley wine at all. I would save it for last as the smoke lingered on my palate for a some time.

Are you in WI or NV now? If you're in WI you should pick up some Victory, Bells and Weyerbacher barley wines and see if you can't get a hold of an old bottle of the New Glarus Unplugged Iced Barley Wine.

Let us know the results! Sounds awesome. Cheers!

    Thanks for the input everyone!

Being in NV we don't get a ton of BWs so I have had to trade/travel for most of my collection.

Can't wait for the disaster that this event will cause.
