    Three Ryes Men (2021) from Ruebens Brews. The label says it's a rye wine brewed with three kinds of rye, flaked, malted, and crystal, aged in bourbon barrels. Compliments of @DIM !!

    Poured at fridge temp. Pours very dark brown with minimal head. The nose is insane. Tons of rye spice. Toffee, oak, bourbon barrel, some raisin, and a touch of maple.

    The taste is absolutely ridiculous (in a great way!). Sweet toffee married to a significant rye presence. Bourbon, figs, vanilla, raisins, maple, leather, a hint of pipe tobacco, and some molasses. Just so good! The aftertaste is an oaky rye spice and some sweet toffee.

    Mouthfeel is medium bodied. This is a bit boozy (slight burn on the way down), but drinks lower than the ABV. Lovely beer!

    Brown Sugar up the butt, Toffee, Caramel,Fig.
    Overall Magnificient.. especially after 5 shots of Henny
    Snuck this one in past security into the Event Hall.
    Heres to celebrating my friends daughter turning 15. Quinceañeras are the shit.

    This is listed as an American Barleywine..It does have some hop presence..It really tastes more like an English BW with toffee, vanilla and dried fruit with a little hit of hops and big booze. Great brew. Another masterpiece from Deschutes.

    Now having Dark from Alesmith, a mead-inspired barleywine ale made with buckwheat blossom and avocado blossom honey aged in madeira barrels. Classified as a braggot on BA.

    Oh man this is a jewel of gem that I never would have heard of let alone tried if weren't for @Beersnake1 who is absolutely the bee's knees for sending me this honey laden nectar. Amazingly the potent, sticky, delectable honey more than stands up to the sweet wine barrels. Beyond the honey and sweet grapes are honey roasted nuts, toffee, figs, dates, sweet oranges, and...more. The mouthfeel is full and sticky appropriately enough. Tim, thank you for this. I absolutely loved it, can't wait to read your thoughts.

    Hell yes! I've really like the all too few braggots I've come across. I haven't really cared for the meads I've tried though. The word "Mead" being on label scared me a bit.

    Nice!! Really glad you enjoyed it!! I changed it to barleywine since that's what the brewer called it.
