    I can see why, that sounds amazing!

    I do wish that the phrase "double barrel-aged" would be used just for beers that were transferred from one barrel to another and not two different barrels blended together.

    I enjoyed the hell out of Tavour while I used it, I really liked their business model until they introduced fees for different tiers of access. I quit my membership that day.

    Revolution Boss Ryeway 2023 from a crowler filled last night.

    i don’t like this as much as regular ryeway but to be fair, regular ryeway is a damn-near perfect beer to me. this is perhaps a touch more complicated and maybe even more barrel forward but the rye barrels used in regular ryeway just work so well to me. still, this is excellent.

    Totally agree. Very misleading. It’s blended, not double barrel-aged!!

    Talking about double barrel-aged, now I have to open one. Betwixt and Between from Bissel Brothers, spent 12 months in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, then transferred it into Taconic bourbon barrels for 5 more months. True double barreling.

    There is nicely sharp, biting toffee note taking center stage here. Mixed with that are candied almonds, sugary raisins, smooth whiskey. The finish adds a kind of powdered candy cherry. The mouthfeel is moderately sticky and full. I really like the depth that extended barrel time can add but the quick hit of booze from shorter durations can be really satisfying too and this is a stellar barleywine. Leggy as hell to.

    I installed Tavour a few years ago but didn't use it until I heard they were dropping this on there. I managed to score 2 can, I'm hyped!
