The Bruery Mash and French Toast, bottled in 2019. Rated 4.79, and it is fully deserved, it's reached a wonderful state after nearly 6 years of aging.

    Finally!!

Why do I always forget how dang good this is fresh? The last few years haven't been as hoppy as I remember it being years ago, so I think this year's has more bite than last. I think others have expressed that sentiment?

I rated this very high when I tried it a few years back. Really fantastic beer!

Nice Dan, and a great song to go with it! I know your cellar goes deep but call me curious, approximately how many bottles of Bigfoot do you have hanging around (not counting '25) and what is your oldest vintage?
    Cheers!

This was an eenie-meanie-minnie-moe, post it here or the Stout page.
    This is!
    41% parabola
    10% stickee monkey
    28% Tequila Barrel merkin
    13% brandy barrel Barleywine
    8% whiskey barrel wheat wine.
It's listed here and on Untappd as an American Strong Ale, works for me, more Barleywine that Stout.

I think I'm sitting around 60 bottles of BF these days. Trying to reduce! I still have a 2005 bottle that I will probably open on my daughter's 20th birthday in August.

Now drinking a 2025 bottle! I might be the odd one out here, but I actually think this is less bitter than last year's. Maybe I'll crack two and do a side-by-side soon!

I had the same take. Very good as usual but a tick less bitter.

2023 Bigfoot. Very malty. Not as good as I remember 2022 being after 2 years. I still have a 2022 left… sadly my oldest vintage. Trying to hang onto it for a few more years. Have an untouched 2024 6-pack that will stay that way for a while. No 2025 to be seen around here

Tim, that is fantastic that you saved a 2005 bottle! That is quite an inventory of Bigfoot! I can envision hundreds of bottles in your wine cellar given the great stuff you pull out!
    Cheers!

It's unlikely to taste great at 20 years of age, but sometimes we age things for other reasons! Cheers, Tom!

Starting off my weekend with an offering from More Brewing, this was in collaboration with Goose Island. Tusk and Feather is a double barrel barleywine aged 18 months then 10 months, both in Elijah Craig rye barrels.

Oh man this is intense. Lots of rye spice and oak come through combining to create a strong tobacco vibe. This spicy tingle suffuses through every aspect of this, as if I'm enjoying this in a walk in humidor. The charred caramel, dried fruit, boozy vanilla, pumpernickel bread, and more. Not quite as good as the GI version but this is quite a treat.
