This is a big, big beer. Something like 19%. I feel like barrel-aged suggests drinking sooner rather than later, but the high ABV kind of pushes me towards the "age for a while" avenue.

    Any thoughts?

Of the really big Avery beers that I've had aged, all have aged very well. I put 1 or 2 or these aside to try again in a few years. I recently had a 2011 Rumpkin that was drinking amazingly. So I say age away.

5 Monks is surprisingly drinkable, even at the insane ABV. I don't see a problem sitting on it, but it's fine to have right now.
