That quote doesn't disprove what I'm saying. Drink a freshly bottled Firestone anniversary beer and you will find oxidation.

    That's not barrel aged.

didn't say it disproves anything, just saying that you are not saying what the flavors are you are tasting since oxidation imparts a lot of good flavors to beer, more than bad. So saying beer taste oxidized isn't really saying much.

That sounds dirty for some reason.

The most important part of this is that BA beer in cans allows for shotgunning! Welcome to life after college!

Yes well that isnt at all the original point of our discussion so before you run circles on me I'm just going to bow out of this conversation.

As for my opinion on the flavors created by oxidation, I do not enjoy it in beer because it becomes less vibrant and stale to me. To each his own.

There aren't many, and I think it's mostly for aesthetic/economic reasons. BA beers are usually special releases, and breweries like to commemorate those releases. Cans don't relay that sense of occasion like a nice bottle does.

Further to the point, BA beers cost more to make, which means higher price points. I'd imagine it's harder to get the consumer to justify those higher price points in can packaging.

I'd assume that they rerack from the barrel(s) to a bright tank for bottling either way to carbonate and clarify the beer.

One day we are all going to sit around laughing about how foolish we were to believe that bourbon barrels and beer make great partners. By we I mean you suckers.

I'm sure we'll see it at some point in the future. I wouldn't put it past a brewery to do this. Haha.

I had barrel aged ten-fidy on draft at a beerfest. It was amazing. One of the best beers I've ever had. Easily.

not entirely true as it depends on the wax used. all wax is O2 permeable but some types, like beeswax, is 6-9x more O2 permeable than types like candelilla.
