Ummm, so is the implication that excess BPA buildup is what caused Eric Andre to be the way he is? If so, lord help us.

    Bird up!!!

But that doesn't rule out the accumulation of something else....

Back to the topic at hand.
From a personal viewpoint. I'm perfectly fine with cans because I'm not actively into cellaring beer and I think that barrel aged beers are no exception to that. It's interesting what they do if you get into that sort of thing. But. From the transportability factor where you want to be able to shotgun a barrel aged can of whatever after a solid round of disc golf. Cans are superior.
I'm not very convinced that cans are worse for cellaring beer in either. They just don't have the same charm in the looks department as a bottle. That's it.

I chose cans because i usually drink it right away but would prefer bottles if i wanted to age it more.

The vast majority of barrel aged beer should be consumed quickly anyhow. All that time in the barrel results in more oxygen exposure than a normal beer would have. Almost impossible for them not to go south quickly once they've been packaged, whether in a bottle or a can.

    Hard to beat a C & C 750ml for looks.

I wish we could ask Cantillon and Drie (3) Fontininen what they think?

BPA leaching only occurs at very high temps, the beer would be destroyed well before any leaching happened.

As for me, the BA Ten Fiddy was sublime, and I don't like regular Ten Fiddy. But I've also had outstanding BA beers from bottles. So I have no preference.

I don't care for regular Ten FIDY either. Don't get all the hype. BBA Ten FIDY on the other hand was awesome.

This seems to be a common misconception, i.e., that it requires very high temperatures.

Here is a link posted earlier in the thread by @DonicBoom that talks about leaching from non heated plastic containers.

Hi temps may accelerate it but are not required.

This doesn't line up with the experiences of the PC water cooling community. When the trend shifted towards quietness over maximum cooling performance, BPA clogging of waterblock microchannels became a major problem.

Well then clearly we have an interesting and unaccounted for discrepancy in the pattern of research results.
