I can't stand bourbon, never a spirit I have enjoyed, and it also just doesn't agree with me.

I do enjoy a good bourbon barrel aged beer. The Bourbonator, bourbon barrel aged Troegenator from Troegs is a particular favorite.

I do enjoy some spirits, brandy (XO style) and tequila (100% agave reposado) are my favorites.

This is a great topic. I fell in love with BBA beers I believe because I love a good Bourbon. My faves are Bulleit ( Bourbon or Rye, both great ) and Bookers. On the rocks please, Yummy

During the colder month I drink a bit of Bourbon. I also drink and Single Malt and keep some very good tequila ( presently Chinaco anejo ) around for guests and will take a shot with them. But, I have not tried beer aged in either.

Don't drink much liquor but do like Rum and the occasional crown and coke. HATE bourbon, but love BBA stouts - go figure. I've recently focused on landing some Rum BA stouts (had Monster's Park - WOW) as that would be the 'sweet spot' for me. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there are too many out there just yet.

I drink about any type of beer or liquor. Not much of a wine person, though I occasionally have a sip of some of the wife's sweet/white ones. My local wineries do make some good peach ones, and an ice wine.

The only thing I drink straight is bourbon. I do have some sipping tequila for special occasions too. For the most part, if I drink any rum, brandy, gin, vodka, etc, it is in mixed drinks. Who doesnt love a good rum runner...

I am open to trying any type of barrel aged beers. I would like to try some Tequila aged beers, and more rum barrel.

BB beer is actually what turned me on to Bourbon. And now I love both! Have to have a glass of bourbon after a couple beers or my night is just not complete. My goto Knob Creek. Also liking the Elijah Craig 12 yr small batch as of late. Yes I love bourbon just as much as I love BB aged beer.

I had a bottle of Hudson whiskey that lasted me about 18 months. I ran out in 2014 and haven't replaced it yet, so I guess it's pretty safe to say I'm not really that into spirits.

I was into wine first and then discovered "craft" beer. I've since also gotten into whisky (bourbon, rye, scotch) as well as aged tequila and mezcal.

I love bourbon, rye whiskey, tequila and rum. In that order as well.

I don't mind red and white wines.

Love Martinis, love Bourbon, and Islay Whiskeys. Pass on Vodka, it's odorless and mostly tasteless, so IMO it's a cheap way to cop a buzz. I don't like Tequila, even the better stuff. I don't like brandy, most trend to the cheap stuff. It's been a long time since I've had a great Cognac, but I would revisit it, but I'd probably opt for a Laphroaig.

I didn't like beer or most spirits for the longest time. Only thing I really drank was Absinthe, or cheap mixed drinks at parties or whatever. Then I had my first barrel aged beer and it blew my mind. Despite never having a stout I liked, and never having a whiskey that I liked, I had an imperial stout aged in scotch whiskey barrels and it blew my mind. Since then I have have loved BA beers and have come to appreciate a lot of other beers (I couldn't drink IPA's at all for the longest time, now I actually enjoy them), but mainly stick to barrel aged beers. Sadly I still cannot stand bourbon, whiskey, rum, gin, wine, etc by themselves. I can do a nice tequila once and a while, aside from that I alternate between beer and absinthe as my drink of choice.....There is a bit more of a beer selection in san diego than there is absinthe though, so If I go out and about it's usually beer.

Not sure I interpreted right, I said beer only insofar as I took it to mean spending some amount of time trying, appreciating (to style), and to analyzing to a certain degree the other options. I chose beer only in this interpretation of the poll.

However, I will enjoy an occasional Bloody Mary on the weekend or martini at a happy hour here and there; similarly will grab a wine with dinner occasionally. Few and far between compared to beer, though.

I love bourbon. But, I rarely drink it. It is out of respect. I really enjoy a good BBA beer, and drink them often. I am not afraid of BCBS.

Beer and whiskey only drinker here- however with whiskey it's only bourbon and Islay scotch. I find blended scotch kinda gross and I mostly go to scotch for the peat smokiness so Islay seems to be the best choice for me.

I love ba beers and mostly just drink beer. I do enjoy lagavulin 14 though and usually have a bottle at home, plus at least 1 bottle of good bourbon

For the most part I'm with ya, but with highland Scotches I find them a bit too smooth and refined. I love the rough edges around an Islay whiskey, I like a bourbon with some balls, stuff like Makers Mark won't cut it. Bring on a small batch single barrel Knob Creek at 120 abv.

Totally with you there- if you haven't already I'd strongly recommend Noah's mill. Cask strength at like 114 proof and rich and spicy as hell.

I need a Scotch for beach week, I've never seen this one here. I look it up. Tough to beat a Quarter Cask or Laphroaig 10 for $53. Love Lagavulin too, but the close to $100 price tag is steep, it's not 2x better than Laphroaig.
