Is there any barrel aged beers that have either, just been released, or will soon be released? Ones that I'm aware of...

Revolution Very Mad Cow (milk stout) and Straightjacket (Barley wine), both are great but pricey $18.99 a bomber at Binny's in Chicago.

I think so. I had one a few months back so it might be different now, but I thought the bourbon barrel character was probably one of the most forward I had ever tasted. Not at all subtle or muddled or quite. Boom! Really clearly defined potent bourbon soaring over a pretty good sweet stout base. Definitely one to try if you like a good dose of bourbon flavor.

I really enjoy it. Woodford Reserve is one of my favorite whiskey's and that's what they use.

Personally I don't enjoy buying bombers that are over $10, but I did enjoy it very much. Try it on tap if you can (Brixie's in Brookfield carries it from time to time) that way you won't have to spend $20 for a bomber. Or split a bottle with a buddy. It's a great beer and worth a try.

IMO, all of the revolution BA beers are worth the $20. i especially like the 3rd year beer. their barrel program is top knotch. of course, if you can find some Central Waters barrel stuff, i would go with that over the revolution.
