Barrel aged Chimay

    Ouch. €22 at one Brussels shop I've seen it in, FWIW. Even at that price, I agree with @antott0523 -- that's more than half a case of Chimay (or similar) without the barrel. And I'm not loco for oak. But I'd still like to try it.

    $38 per bottle in Oklahoma is the going retail rate for the second batch.

    holy sh*t and i tought paying 16€ a bottle of the 2016 release was a lot :open_mouth:

    maybe i should buy some more then

    The $38 price was for the second release. The first release to the U.S. earlier this year sold for about $20. I think they are two different beers but I don't know that for certain. The wholesale prices on the two were very different.

    Same beer but the barrel aging process is different. 1st release was all oak barrels & 2nd release was a mixture of oak, cognac and chestnut barrels.
