Anyone see or try this yet? Just saw it land in West Michigan and don't ever remember an announcement for it. Tried searching the forum, but no luck. Labels says it was brewed with BB staves and has natural flavors added.

Had it the other night, not too shabby . Apple Harvest Ale was only fair of the same Prohibition Series.

Label clearly says it was brewed in Rochester, NY - so it's a product of North American Breweries which owns the Labatt label in the US (AB-InBev had to sell the US rights to get their merger approved by the US Dept. of Justice) and was brewed at the Genesee brewery. Has nothing to do with the ABInBev-owned Labatt in Canada. NAB also owns Magic Hat, Pyramid and Portland.

I wonder if barrel aged Genny Cream is next, then.

The original post-Repeal Genesee Cream Ale (not the one created in 1960) which was originally just called Genesee Light Ale was:

Not bad, not great. I didn't get any bourbon flavor. But, a decent beer. At $7 for a sixer, it's about right.

Had it two nights ago and it was O.K., if anything, "memorable" because it's from Labatt and has Bourbon Barrel on the same label - I was intrigued and therefore had to buy at least a bottle to try. (The bottle is pretty cool looking also.)

:astonished: It's still North American Breweries. It was sold by KBS Partners and is now owned by Florida Ice & Farm (Cerveceria Costa Rica's parent company).

Just saw it yesterday, laughed and walked away. If you all are saying it's not turrible (said in a Charles Barkley voice), then I may have to give it a shot.

Reading the label, it doesn't sound barrel aged. I may be nitpicking here, but it sounds like it's "oaked" with wood in a bright tank or fermenter rather than aged in barrels.
