I just realized what I have should have realized on first go. They probably have no idea of BA Narwhal and just assumed you wanted regular Narwhal 4-pks hence their answer. Good luck on your hunt

Does this same store sell Heady the Elder?
But to answer the OP. I'm sure this will be all over social media when it drops

I have been waiting patiently as well. Narwhal is one of my favorite imp stouts and my cellar is stocked. Would love to add a few bottles of ba narwhal to the school!

they are pretty good about knowing what they have and are getting. bit surprised that they would be off about this.

I think the price point is supposed to be around $20/750ml

BA Bigfoot took a while to get here when it released as well.
Iowa just got theirs, so I would think next week maybe (?).

Prob in the next week or 2...Iowa was allotted 10 cases, so each account received 3 bottles

why do big breweries even bother to make a BA beer that an account gets 3 bottles of? I know its to be 'cool' or whatever, but seriously...with the resources of SN, couldn't they make this a common 4 pack that a state gets 100 cases of? why not? would anyone who drinks Narwhal complain if 100% of it were BA? look at clown shoes. you CAN produce a good BA stout for $10/bomber. period. any more is hype/rarity cost, not manufacturing cost. especially on an economy of scale like SN has access to (i dont mean to pick on SN. I love them and buy lots of their beer, but they just happen to be relevant now as I rant! (so Im sorry SN. I actually love you. keep making good, affordable beer. im sorry for picking on you))

Im happy we're getting some, but I doubt I will get any if in fact it is that limited, so who cares? God dammit: to breweries everywhere, just put all of your beer in a barrel, cask, or wood tank. Wood makes beer better. it just does. Im tired of this one off, 3 bottles per account bs (or 1 case or whatever). anything in a barrel you can charge more for and it will sell out like crack in the 80's. put everything in a barrel! now! isnt your marketing guy telling you this?
    /rant

(ps. thank you clown shoes for making mn its own ba beer. and surly this year for that matter. clown shoes gets it. that's my point I guess. actually no, my point is that BA should not be limited release. it should just be one version of a beer you can commonly buy (if you want) for a couple bucks more per 4 pack or bomber. because you know what? Im crazy enough to want a BA beer in the middle of july. The hot weather lowers the viscosity and makes it easier to drink )

So according to their rep, they made 6,000 cases or 72,000 bottles...they must have just kept a lot for the home state...plus I think they have a brewery or something on the east coast that prob got a lot!

It'll be curious to see if we get this. It's not looking promising so far. Sierra Nevada has sent at least two shipments to Minnesota in the past few weeks and it doesn't look like BA Narwhal was included unless Wirtz is still working out allocations. I will say that in the past our market did see BA Bigfoot when it was released so at least there's a precedent that we usually get most limited things from Sierra Nevada. Fingers crossed we'll see some.

The answer is yes, BA Narwahl is in MN. In fact, I will give you a hint...It was at Princeton's Liquor yesterday and there was 1 or 2 left when I left. Hope that hint helps! They also had Clown Shoes Extremely Angry Beast if anyone cares. Cheers and good luck!
