I can't find much information on this beer but the bottle just says "aged in oak barrels". I'm assuming it is just oak barrels not bourbon barrels but wanted to ask if anyone knew for sure what it was.

Never tried the BA version, but standard Odin's Tipple is pretty dang good. So I can only imagine what you've got is beastly. Enjoy it.

Starting to pop up in stores - depending on price, I'd love to try it.

Good info - stuff from Haandbryggeriet is rare in these parts, but I've had the Tipple and it was good stuff. I would grab a barrel-aged version in a heartbeat.

Would anyone in MA mind posting where on the shelves this one is? I'd love to give it a try. Thanks!

Having just purchased this, I'm very curious as well. Since they mention on their barrel-aged porter that it's aged in aquavit barrels, I assume they would mention the same if Odin's was aged in aquavit barrels as well. After a comprehensive internet search, including a translation of eikefat lagret (aged in oak barrels), I'm going to try to write Haand and see wuzzup. Will report back with any results.

Heard back from Jens from Haand. Oak-aged Odin's Tipple was aged in a second use of akevitt barrels, as he put it. Not sure if this means second use as in the first use after the akevitt was emptied, or second use as in the barrels were used once before for aging another beer, perhaps their barrel-aged porter. In any event, very appreciative of the quick response from Haand. Cheers!
