At Oscar Blues right now drinking Wild Turkey Fidy, Heaven Hill Fidy, Pumpkin Spice Fidy, and 2012 Fidy. Selling crowlers of Heaven Hill Fidy until they run out. Got one, finally after two years trying to get a BA Fidy crowler. They are doing this until 8pm tonight. Did I mention free bacon as well?

I saw it on their FB a few hours ago, but that drive is just too far from Colorado Springs to make on a whim on a Thursday :slight_frown:

Ya, helped kicked a heaven hill keg 2 weeks back. Drank one crowler this past weekend, plenty of carbination. One crowler to ship asap. The crowler is awesome.

Well bummer. FB said they weren't doing crowlers. If I had known they were, I totally would have stopped by.

I hit them up! They nailed it. Had some tap issues, but I had 2x WT Ten Fidy glasses, split a Heaven Hills glass w a buddy. And took home two HH crowlers. Rum tap had issues so don't know if it ever saw the light of day of not.

For those who didn't drive up bc of no crowlers -- why not?? If you want to drink rare / one-off beer, then go and drink it and enjoy it. If you're only looking to trade it, then drive to Casey

Anyone could have easily sat and taken down 60+ozs of BA Fidy tonight. I wish they did less crowlers of it frankly so it is on longer ...

Valid question, and I only shared part of the equation  I was unable to go, but my wife drives past the Tasty Weasel on her way home from work. Thinking they weren't doing crowlers, I didn't have her stop.

The important thing, though, is that it sounds like BA Fidy was once again amazing and a lot of people got to try it!

Really enjoyed the Heaven Hill, but I thought the Wild Turkey was the best. Sounds like they will be tapping more, though I'm not sure when. Also, they were only officially selling crowlers of the Heaven Hill and the 2012 and 2015 Ten Fidy, but I asked for a crowler of the Wild Turkey and the bartender was happy to fill one for me. So it pays to ask I guess.

I hope they will be doing something like this around GABF as I would love this stuff on tap when I head out there

I am sure there will be some awesome stuff on around GABF, there always is. The annual Fidy release is the biggest celebration though in terms of BA stuff in my experience. Last year was equally awesome - three BA Fidy variants and a three year vertical.

The 3 year vertical would be nice, I can never manage to save a can or two from each year, if I see them, I drink them. My only hope is to hide them from myself in the back of the fridge behind the bombers and hope I forget about it.

I wasn't aware of this in time, but had I been the no crowler fill facebook post would have kept me at home. Honestly, I just wouldn't want to do the drive back to Denver after downing such big beers. Has nothing to do with trading, have never traded beer and no intentions of starting at this point in time.

Have to say, before I tried Heaven Hill Fidy last night, Wild Turkey Fidy was my #1 favorite beer of all time. Heaven Hill sure gave it a run for the money. Great night! Fidy Heaven!

There's something about BA Ten Fidy that is just magical. I like the normal (non-BA) stuff, but I like numerous other big stouts more. However there's something about the extra whiskey nuances that fills in all of the gaps.
I think it might be the best BA stout I've ever had and there aren't many that are even close.

Nice, but I cannot even find a can of Ten Fidy in GJ right now.

    Cheers!

Well technically it is seasonal and this year's batch was JUST released so it's not hard to imagine last year's stock is gone and your waiting on distro.

So, are you saying I should be seeing this pretty soon here in GJ? Just the regular Ten Fidy at least? Either cans or on-tap?

    Cheers!
